Faith is a peppy, happy character who always likes to see smiles on the faces of others. She’s the cheerleader type of personality (though, she doesn’t really had the typical mean/jealous streak they’re often portrayed with).
She loves to see others pursuing their dreams and goals regardless of who they are, where they come from, or what they look like. She genuinely believes that it’s what’s on the inside that counts, and that you should rise above judgement and do what you want.
However, this often makes people annoyed by her, as she comes from a line of wealth and fame – And they see it as being easy for HER to do what she wants. How can they achieve what they want when they come from a poor or abusive background?
The above means she often has a lot of trouble when it comes to friendships. Sometimes people only pretend to be her friend to get a good name and association, and sometimes people are extremely mean to her because of who she is.
Background:
Faith was born into a world where everyone is born half-creature. Everyone is born with ears or horns or fur or odd coloured skin/markings, etc. However, only the rarest and luckiest are born with tails. These are known as the ‘tail’ species. (Pufftail, sparktail, furtail, etc). One of the highest of these species, is the pufftail, and of course, Faith was born into this family.
They’re a very wealthy family who are extremely concerned with looks and the way they are portrayed. They’re pressured into all sorts of lessons on how to properly portray the family name from a very, very young age. They’re told who they can and can’t be friends with, etc. They’re a little like a strict royalty this way.
However, Faith grew up bored of tired out, old traditions. She forced her parents into letting her go to public school, rather than being home-schooled at the age of 8 because she was so lonely. She threatened her parents with ruining the family name, and her stubborn threats are not to be taken lightly. After going to public school, she saw how the lower familes lived and was shocked. She realised that, actually, she had no idea how to act amongst others despite having lesson after lesson. She vowed to change and live amongst the non-tails from that moment on.
At first, she had no friends, they were all too scared by her status. She was the victim of jokes and pranks on a regular basis. However, she was determined to make at least one friend, and stay in public school, showing the others that she was really just like them. Eventually, she did. She became friends with a quiet girl named Honey Harelike (A rabbit-type of species) whose family owned a small bakery.
This all led to family feuds, and eventually, Faith being abandoned by the Pufftail family at the age of 11, left to fend for herself on the streets. She didn’t let it get her down though, she lives on, now working in Honey’s bakery, pursuing her dream of bringing the tails and the non-tails together in harmony.
