Name:: Bridgette Valentine

Character Type: Semi-Minor? 

Personality: Bridgette is a fairly bitter character who has very little trust in men (Anyone other than Harley that is). She's also fairly vain and believes that beauty is the most important matter, before anything else. She truly believes that nothing can be achieved unless you're beautiful and put a lot of hard work into how you look. Those who make little effort, get little in return type of mind set. However, this doesn't really apply when it comes to work. Physical work anyway. She doesn't like getting dirty and is stereotypically prissy and girly in that sense. However, when it comes to academics, she's surprisingly intelligent and will put the work in, if only to impress others. Due to being strictly home schooled for all of her life, she had to work extremely hard to get to the point she's at now. However, as she got older, she started to care less for school work as she was already years ahead and didn't need to make the effort any more.

Bridgette is the type of person who likes to get what she wants. Having this all her life due to her riches, she's not really used to any other sort of lifestyle. She has quite a bit of a stroppy temper on her which is quick to show when she doesn't get her way. However, despite this, she's mastered the art of putting on a sweet, innocent charade to hide her bitterness and true personality- Which is often pretty harsh. She's not afraid to act mean and deviously if people stand in her way - Though she's very good at hiding it.

Backstory: Bridgette's mother died when she was just a young girl. Due to being the spitting image of her, she reminded her father too much of his wife, who couldn't cope with the grief of losing his childhood sweetheart and genuine love. Due to this, he just couldn't bear to be around her, and didn't fulfil his fatherly duties well due to always avoiding her and leaving her with the maids. At the age of 5, a year after the incident, she was sent to live with her grandmother on her mother's side. However, her grandmother was a very bitter woman who had always held a grudge against Bridgette's father for 'stealing' her daughter away from her (Sidenote: Bridgette's mother and father eloped at a young age). This influenced Bridgette a lot. As she had had a fairly negative impression of her father due to the circumstances she didn't understand, the anger was only fuelled by her grandmother's constant nagging and putting down of her father, and men in general - Saying that they can never be trusted, and will always turn their back on you, etc. Bridgette grew up with little trust in men due to this. Her grandmother also always primped her for celebrations and parties to get to know other rich families and do business, etc. She convinced her that the other families would only do business with the best and most elegant looking other families. This also influenced the way she thought about herself (Actually giving her fairly low self-confidence without make-up and primping).

As a young girl, her and Harley, both coming from rich familes with children of the same age, were betrothed. They played together and actually became very close friends. The parents were convinced it was a love meant to be as they played together and enjoyed eachother's company so much. However, when Bridgette moved away, though saddened, Harley forgot about her, and the betrothal, fairly quickly. Bridgette however, always remembered. She was specifically brought up to be a loving wife for Harley, being taught all the proper duties, rituals, attitudes, etc. At 17, when old enough to marry, she transferred to the same school as Harley, hoping to find him and be reunited in love and marry straightaway. It however, obviously didn't go as well as that.

Whilst delighted to see her again, Harley now had the problem of explaining that he didn't want to marry her and that he was living his own life now. It was years later and that they must of forgotten about eachother. There was no way something so outrageous could work so suddenly. There was also the problem of him starting to develop feelings for Lumia.
